SKYRE’s Human Resources Manager on SKYRE’s Vigor
What made you choose SKYRE?
SKYRE is a small company with a lot of vigor! It was clear during my interview process that it is a collaborative, forward thinking, and supportive organization.
Every interviewer exuded a sense of pride and commitment not only in the company's products and services, but in the inclusive, respectful and dedicated culture that has been SKYRE since 2007. I wanted to be part of this organization! As well as continue to help promote and grow SKYRE's vision and values.
How do you connect to SKYRE’s mission?
As a human resources professional, I look to invest in people’s growth and development. Offering coaching, mentoring, and tools to help them be as successful as they can be in their roles. SKYRE is invested in delivering solutions that matter to bettering our world’s future.
The company is focused on delivering products that ensure a safe and sustainable environment for generations to come. SKYRE’s advanced hydrogen and carbon dioxide conversion systems hold the promise of significantly lowering the cost of hydrogen implementation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The world is confronted with some extraordinary challenges, and SKYRE is striving to contribute to solutions.
What do you hope for SKYRE's future?
Much success, growth, and recognition for our product solutions!
What's been a rewarding project you've worked on since starting at SKYRE?
Having worked on several initiatives since joining SKYRE, selecting just one rewarding project is difficult. I am proud of our ability to automate health benefits and 401k enrollment. I’m also proud of the creation and implementation of our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy. And I’m looking forward to recruiting additional top talent to complement our already exceptional SKYREs.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I have always enjoyed helping family and friends with mock interviewing, resume writing, and career development strategies. I think it's a side effect of my extrovert personality! Because of this, several years ago, I decided to refocus my professional outlook and moved into human resources as a second career. Further building on my education and expanding my existing knowledge and skills by obtaining an HR certification as well as an aPHR designation.
I find creating bonds between an organization and its people exhilarating. Each should have an appreciation and respect for the other. SKYRE is striving to strategically align business with organizational goals and objectives, while championing organic growth where possible, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive and energizing environment.
My next planned professional milestone is to acquire a SHRM –SCP (Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional) certification in 2024.
